Success, according to Arianna Huffington
Week 2 of our 90 day creative sprint.
I don’t feel like writing this. This week has been a little rough emotionally, mentally, and physically. I’ll be fine, but the work still remains. There are times when I don’t feel like writing. Life happens. Sometimes I don’t feel like writing because I’m tired. Sometimes I don’t feel like writing because I want to spend time with my family and friends. Sometimes I don’t feel like writing because I’d rather be anywhere than sitting down looking at a screen that’s likely distracting me with constant news stories. But this is precisely why I decided to write today’s newsletter.
Many times, people struggle to stay consistent with writing online because of things that have nothing to do with numbers, impact, or fun. The ROI of putting in the reps compounds over time, even when the writing isn’t perfect. So let’s talk about the definition of success according to Arianna Huffington , plus a few writing prompts for this week.
Arianna Huffington is the co-founder and former editor-in-chief of Huffington Post (aka HuffPost) and is the author of 15 books including Thrive and The Sleep Revolution . She has been named to Time magazine's list of the world's 100 most influential people and the Forbes Most Powerful Women list. In honor of International Women’s Day, I thought she’d be an incredible creative entrepreneur to learn from.

What is success?
What is success
It’s well-being.
One of the easiest ways to inject your personal story alongside your expertise is to talk about how you create the conditions where you work best. Here are a few prompts to help you identify stories to write about. (hint: You could also package your answers as carousels for LinkedIn and Instagram, or a social video on your platform of choice).
What boundaries have you established between your creative work and personal life? How do these boundaries contribute to your overall well-being?
Share a moment when prioritizing your mental health led to unexpected creative breakthroughs. What did this experience teach you?
Describe your workspace and how it contributes to both your creativity and mental health. What elements are essential for your well-being?
What role does physical activity play in your creative process? How do you integrate movement into your work routine?
Describe your relationship with digital devices and how you balance online presence with offline well-being. What boundaries work best for you?
What self-care practices have had the most significant impact on your creative output? How do you prioritize these practices during busy periods?
Describe your ideal morning routine that balances creative work with self-care. How does this routine impact your productivity throughout the day?
There’s no such thing as ‘peak self-care.’ We’re always learning what works for us and what elements and environments we need to create our best work. These are themes you can revisit as the seasons change and as your creative focus shifts to different projects.
